I am a Christian and I have a strong faith in God. I grew up in the church and my parents raised me in a Christian home. I am also a musician. My passion is music but doing it for God's glory. In church I play the drums and sometimes the keyboard. I am also a rapper and I do Christian Hip Hop.
Christian Hip Hop seems to be a controversial topic within the church. I love it and it is my passion. I think it is a good way to reach to younger generations when approaching them about religion and God. Through Christian Hip Hop, young people can see that there is Christian music that they can relate to and actually like. There are really nice Christian rappers that have been compared to artists such as Jay-Z. Grammy Award Winning Christian Rapper, Da'. T.R.U.T.H. is one fo them.
A lot of young people are not exposed to Christian Hip Hop but I want to help get it more recognition because it is just as big as the "secular" Hip Hop music business; it just doesn't get as much publicity and air time. I want people to see that being young and a Christian is really fun.
